Understanding the evolution of terrestrial planets and moons.

We are a research group in the Division of Mineral and Planetary Sciences, based in the Department of Earth Sciences at the Natural History Museum, London.

Current research in the Planetary Surfaces Group is broadly concerned with using surface processes to understand the geological evolution of terrestrial planets and moons. We use techniques from different disciplines to help address key questions in planetary science. By studying the fundamental processes that affect planetary bodies, our research addresses the majority of the recorded history of the Solar System.
